The thermostat is one of the most important organs of the body and its structure and the nature of its work varies from organism to organism; where it is found in the human body and is considered the basis of human adaptation to the environment surrounding it whether it is a desert or cold environment.
Have you ever asked yourself what your body temperature is? Well, you know the answer; it's about 37°C. And what is the body temperature of a human living in the Arctic, and what is the body temperature of another human living in Somalia.? Both have a body temperature of about 37C°. Have you asked yourself why despite the different environment surrounding them and live in the desert where the temperature is high and the other one lives in the extreme cold where the temperature is below zero.
Climate extremes are directly proportional to mortality and morbidity and with these climate extremes survival is stronger, and it is known that the health of women is different from men especially both in vital and other activities where scientists and statistics have proved that the mortality rate in women is greater than that of men. One of the scientists ran experiments on a frog and they raised the temperature of the surrounding medium, and it was noticed that it could change its body temperature to adapt to the surrounding medium. A sudden temperature change may end a person's life, but the natural change is that in the morning the temperature is about 36.7 C°. when exercising, the temperature rises to 39 C° when strenuous exercise.
Regulation of body temperature
The hypothalamus works to regulate body temperature and its work is shown in involuntary actions such as sweat evaporation, which is the act of rising temperature and opening the body pores so that the body loses excess heat, while shivering is the result of cold so that heat is generated and the body maintains the integrity of its internal organs. The hypothalamus is located in the upper part of the front of the forehead and its effect is on the skin, sweat glands, blood glands, air vents, and heat ducts.
Conclusion
The hypothalamus is one of the most important organs of the body where it works to regulate the temperature and keep the internal organs at a suitable temperature to avoid diseases caused by the change of temperature, which may lead to the occurrence of fever leading to death.
